| Moscow | Can I enter the Kremlim with my camera tripod..??? Posted: Sat April 5, 2008 12:11 AM UTC
Hello dear friends...
If anyone could tell me if the kremlim guards in Moscow would allow me to enter the Kremlim with my camera tripod... I know there are some places where you cannot do it: Chichen Itza, The Sistine Chapel, The Louvre, The British Museum I am going to Moscow late August, and I need to plan ahead... Please let me know if anyone has information. Thanks |

the Kremlin is a sensitive area and therefore the controls are very strict and are also done by the police/army and not by ordinary "museum-staff" when you enter. All sorts of bags, rucksacks etc. have to be stored in a room/office outside of the Kremlin , and you just leave it there and nobody will realize when you bring in your old stuff and take away some better ones on your way out...
I simply cannot believe that a tripod will be accepted ! 1st for security reasons and then again also because they dont want to have professional photography inside the churches. I did not have big problems with my non-digital SLR and 1:2,8/20 mm lense some years ago
