HI, I'M PLANNING ON GETTING SURGERY IN SANTO DOMINGO IN EL CENTRO DE CIRUJIA PLASTICA(CECEP). WHAT BEACHES WOULD BE THE CLOSEST TO THIS AREA I'M WILLING TO TRAVEL NO MORE THAN 40 MINUTES FROM THE CLINIC. PLEASE HELP NEVER BEEN OVER THERE!!!

The closest beach is Boca Chica – about 15-30 minutes east of Santo Domingo (by car/taxi). A little farther east the beach of Juan Dolio is located, but I have never been at Juan Dolio myself and it might be more than 40 minutes away from the centre of Santo Domingo.

I don't know where the clinic is located but Juan Dolio should be about 45 minutes if it's located at the other side of the river (the side opposite to where the airport is). Other than that, Valby is correct.

Boca Chica is only about a 15 minute drive east of the Las Americas Santo Domingo airport. The actual city of Santo Domingo is to the west. So, I'm not sure if that would be close enough. But it is the closest beach to Santo Domingo and a very nice one as well. Warm water with no waves.
