| Leipzig | Altlanta Hotel - a few questions. Posted: Fri April 4, 2008 10:16 AM UTC
I would like to know how far the Atlanta Hotel at Südring 21 is from the Agra ?
A map seems to indicate that it is less than 3km. Is this about right ? We don't mind a 3km walk but just want to ensure this is correct. Also do trams run to the area in which the hotel is ? The event we are attending includes free use of public transportation (tram, city-busses, regional trains, surburban trains) within the zone 110 of MDV. Does the hotel fall with this zone ? Thanks in advsnce for any information. PJ |

Zone 110 = Leipzig
Your hotel is however in Wachau (zone 151). Albeit just 2 bus stops outside zone 110. http://www.mdv.de/img/uebersichtsplaene/liniennetz Tram #15 (blue) or #2 (yellow - only peak hours) to Probsthaida. From there by bus to "Apelsteinallee". You could walk to the stop "Schwarzenbergweg". As the bus needs 3 minutes for this (with one stop) this is certainly walkable. But to the agra you the shorter way is through the zone 151. Bus 108 to the end station of tram #11 (Markkleeberg Ost). And than 3 stops to Dölitz Straßenbahnhof (this stop is now in Leipzig, thus zone 110.). Walking is also an option. But even if you use the pedestrian path (through Weinteichsenke), which is the shortest route, it will be rather 3,5 than 3,0 km.
