Budapest Elite Studios & Apartments Budapest
Posted: Fri April 4, 2008 09:57 AM UTC
Hello there!

I am looking at booking one of Elite Studios & Apartments Budapest, 1075 Wesselényi út. 12, for our upcoming trip. If anybody has stayed in one of their units, I'd appreciate some info, i.e. how far to the city center, elevators?, clean? safe area?, close to restaurants?, close to public transportation? etc.

Thanks.

I haven't stayed there, but I used to live very close to the address for 2 years. The location is perfect. By walking you can reach Erzsebet Korut,Liszt Ferenc Ter, Oktogon and Andrassy ut. This is where you can find many restaurants, clubs and bars. It is easy to catch bus or tram. Check my tips for what you can do around and where you can eat. Enjoy Budapest :)

Thanks a lot. You have a very extensive Budapest page. I am going through them now. And I just thought of another question after reading one of the reataurant tips you posted.

What is the standard tip for waiters/waitresses? What percentage of the the total bill?

Thanks.

5-10 percent would be ok for tip. Finally it is upto you to decide. If you are impressed with service, you can give more. You will definitely enjoy the food :)

Apparently located adjacent to the Synagogue. The Jewish quarter can be great to visit, except on Saturday. Vaci utca and the Great Market are very close. The Chain Bridge is a little further, but not beyond reason. Not a bad location. The trouble with Budapest is that things are pretty spread out. If there were an ideal location it would be someplace between the corner of Andrassy and Deak Ferenc Ter.
