Can I walk to the train station or is it to far from the Silja ferry landing ?

If I remember correctly, it's about a 20-25 minute walk. So it's possible by foot if you don't have too much luggage. Ask on the ferry for public transportation connections or taxi possibilities if you're packing heavy.

I believe there are some Train Stations in Helsinki but there is a main one called Routatientori Station (and a Metro Station as well) where most of long journey trains arrive.
Further there are two Silja ferry landing.
I believe you should watch better if I attach a Map through one e-mail: I'll use your VT e-mail.

The tram 3T or 3B can take you to the ferry terminal. The stop at the train station is called Rautatieasema and the one for the ferry is Olympialaituri according to http://www.hel.fi/wps/wcm/resources/file/eb190f0b64f19d5/3T_english_2007_net.pdf - hope it helps.

As far as I know Katajanokka terminal is for Viking Line? Or was it also for Tallink boats (who became Tallinksilja). I ask because I've traveled with both Silja and Viking.

Allrighty! I too think s/he'll depart from Olympic terminal.
Hehe, I thought the name was Olympia because in Swedish it's Olympiaterminalen.
