Herrengasse or Parkring.

Anything else I should know about either place?

Hi,
have a look at the plan: Schottengasse
http://tinyurl.com/7yptv

and Parkring
http://tinyurl.com/2sjbs7

Parkring is central and has the somewhat better connections to Metro and public transport, Herrengasse is also central and a few hundred meters nearer to the City-Center (St Stephen). If you are driving, Herrengasse is not so good (no parking space)
Good Luck !

Hi Mariele,

sorry about that !
I just realised, that the URL do not work; just go to
http://www.wien.gv.at/stadtplan/
and write "Parkring" or "Herrengasse" into the space at "Strassenname"
Then you will get a plan, showing the surroundings of both.
Both are central, Parkring a bit better for public transport, Herrengasse closer to St Stephens - but only marginally !
Have a nice trip and a nice stay!

Yes, dear, that's what I did :) it took me a bit to find the English version of the site so don't worry. And may I say what a lovely city you live in :)
