We will be traveling to Berlin with our laptop next month. Can anyone tell me where we might find free wireless hot spots in Berlin? Do they have them in the popular coffee shops like Starbucks (or others),for example? We would appreciate any information or suggestions.

if you google "free wireless hotspots in Berlin" (NOT hot spots BUT hotspots) you can find a list of locations

You can find these hotspots at very many locations not just Starbucks, but most any little cafès you will find walking in any neighborhood. Most of these places will have a message written on the window or a sign hanging up "Free Wireless" or "Wireless Gratis", WLAN hotspot here, something like that. So just go in and using wireless net detector and get started. Will likely need to buy a coffee or something so you can sit. Just be aware make sure you have your firewall, anti-virus, etc. all going. Enjoy your time in Berlin!
