Have a look at www.skyscanner.net and www.whichbudget.com
The latter lists budget flights to the UK, Belgium, Germany and Latvia. You might choose to get onward connections from any of those points (e.g. from London to Paris/Rome/Venice etc). The former will give you more options, using mainstream carriers as well. Remember that the cheapest fares are booked well in advance.

You can now check flight prices here on VT. Go to the top of this page. In the "search" block type Rome, or Frankfurt, etc, leave the setting at "Destinations". You will be taken to that forum. About halfway down the page, there is a tab for "Flights". Click on that, fill in where you will fly from, and your dates, plus the number of travellers, and whether it is one way or round trip.and you'll be able to search Kayak, Orbitz, Mobilissimo, and several other sites without leaving VT. It will be on the forum page "somewhere". For Frankfurt, it is near the top. Gary

It's actually the travel guide, not the forum. That's what I get for answering questions at 4 AM, lol. Gary

It doesn't matter if you fly El-Al or not. The security is the same for all flights leaving from Israel. It's not handled by the airline.
