Bergen to Flam day trip?

Hello.
I would love to visit Flam while my cruise ship is docked in Bergen for 10 hrs.
Arrive 7 a.m. depart 5 p.m. Is there any way that can be done? Help.
Any suggestions so appreciated.

we went to flam for a few days last year. it is wonderful. You can get a fjord boat from bergen to flam, but i dont think you have enough time. Bergen is really nice and you can easily spend a day there walking around and eating. I would recommend looking into ding a shorter boat trip around bergen into the fjords.

I don't think you can do it by train (or with the Nutshell ticket) in the time you have available, either.

Last time i took a boat to cruise up the fjords from Bergen to flam departed at about 8.30am and arrived about 3.00pm in Flam.Then the train ride back to Bergen took till about 6.15pm.

(Leave Bergen 08, arrive in Flåm 13.25 - back in Bergen 20.40)

For trains, see www.nsb.no - going by train Bergen - Flåm takes 3 1/2 - 4 hours one way... For buses, www.fjord1.no - the bus takes around 3 hours, I think, but departures aren't that frequent..

I'm afraid it's just too far when you've only got 10 hours (unless you rent a car!)
