Heidelberg Pet boarding
Posted: Tue April 1, 2008 12:38 PM UTC
Hello, Heidelberg area VTrs. I am in a big dilemma. The person who normally takes care of our Lahsa Apso when we travel will not be able to watch her on our next trip (23-26 May).

Does anybody know know of someone or a pet boarding/kennel in and around Heidelberg, who can take a 3 yr old, 20-lb, very friendly and house broken female dog? I will truly appreciate any recommendation.

Thank you.

Have you tried the Tierschutzverein? They usually take dogs when their owners are away.
Personally I can recommend an excellent Hundepension - dog's kennel -, which we used for our dog. He loved it! It's not in Heidelberg, but close by. If you're interested mail me and I can tell you the address. The owner speaks English and has many American customers.
You would have to call soon, though, as May is a busy time for them.

Did you find a solution regarding someone watching your dog? I too have run in to problems regarding finding someone to watch my Min Pin/Toy Fox Terrier at times. Please let me know if you have found a soultion.

I too am looking for a clean and friendly Boarding Kennel for my 15 year old Westhighland Terrier. The reply to Sylvia's inquiry was interesting, but did not give the name or location of the kennel. I would greatly appreciate the info on what sounds like a good kennel. Susan.
