hi all,
in few days i'm gonna be, toghetr with some friends in arad, could someone tell me a cheap accomodation in the city center,and give me some advices about the city, where to go, what to visit, nightlife..etc.. any help will be really appreciated. what the best solution to go from the aiport to the centre? pls answer asap, i leave after tomorrow. thanks a lot |

A few sites to visit would be the 18th century Arad fortress, the beautiful late 19th-early 20th century palaces in the downtown (like the two housing the city hall and respectively the history museum) and the several historical cathedrals and churches. You could also try to travel to Timisoara (60 km south of Arad) which is the largest city in the western part of Romania.
As for getting from the airport into downtown Arad, there is a bus on that route, line 54 (I think).
