Foreign nationals are encouraged to obtain visas in their country of residence. However foreign applicants intended to apply for an Indian visa at Indian High Commission in Pakistan MUST have a resident document (appropriate visa for a long stay).

Normally it takes 15 days to 1 month for locals to get Indian Visa. But for foriegners this time can be reduced.

If you are in Pakistan then please call Indian High Commission in Islamabad to get more info. Tel Nos are: +92-51-2206950 to 54 (5 lines)

FedEx/Gerry's Courier provide Visa Drop Box facility in different cities of Pakistan. Means they collect visa documents on behalf of Indian High commission. You may ask them on email: visa-info@visadropbox.com
also check http://visadropbox.com/indiaservices.asp

Visa Fee is nominal $60 (approx Rs. 3500/-)

Bonjour mon ami,

Go to the Indian High commission, Diplomatic Enclave G-5, Islamabad
City: Islamabad

Phone: +92-51-2206950, 2206951, 2206953, 2206954, 2828376
Fax: +92-51-2823386

It takes one week and they grant the visa, normally 3 months single, double entries.

Through Gerry and visa drop box service, it takes more time.

Bon voyage,

Imran Schah
