Hi all,

I'm planning a trip to Peru in August and I really would like to see the Nazca Lines. Ideally, I'd like to leave from Lima, see the Nazca Lines, and eventually end up in Arequipa, in around 2 days if possible. Does anybody know of tour operators who do this route, or if there's an easy way to arrange it myself?

Yes, there are many local tour operators that can handle this itinerary; however, you can easily do this excursion yourself. You have several options: either take the bus (there are many in this route) OR go there by rental car with driver/taxi. Also, Aerocondor offers a flight service from Lima-Nazca as well as an "overflight," but the cost for this service is quite steep.

By bus Lima to Nasca is about 6 hours. There are a lot of companies that do this route. I would recommend Cruz Del Sur-they are a very nice bus company (some of the buses even have wireless internet access.) From Nasca to Arequipa is another 8 hours-you could do a night bus for this leg of the trip if you want. It's really easy to arrange the bus part of your trip at the bus station once you get here! Just came from Arequipa last night-I'm in Lima now-have a safe trip!

In Nazca are a lot or tour operators that can organize your flight to see the nazca lines.

Bus from Nacza a Arequipa is about 8 hours and you can do that by night if you wana save time.
