I am traveling with my family, which included 3 sons (13, 12 & 9), my parents and my husband. We are taking a Royal Caribbean Cruise, but we would like to spend a day on the beach. I have noticed some people are recommending Bacvice beach, could you please tell me how far it is from the cruise ship port and if we could get to the beach easily on our own? Also, is this the best beach you would recommend for the 7 of us?

Hi
Bacvice beach is only few hundred meters from ferry harbour, so it is no problem for you to get there. Bacvice is one of most popular beaches in Split and one of the only sand beaches, which might also be the reason why it is always very crowded. Anyway if you are only in Split one day I would absolute recommend you to go there, Split of course has other beaches, but they would be bit harder to reach for you on foot.

When you pass custom cleerence on the right side you will see big lighthouse.Just follow the car road next to rail and on the top is Bacvice.In the morning is not that croudy then you can return for lunch and shower to the ship around 12-00 and visit town until departure.beware sun light is very strong after 13-00 better be in shade
