Hello
You still need a 7 days JR Pass. activate it on the first day, but you can use normal ticket on Day 8. Day 1, Narita - Hakone is about 3 hrs train or more (please check the schedule from JR website. you will need to get the Hakone 3 days Free pass. Day 2, Hakone - Mt Fuji, I'm not sure if there is a direct from Hakone - Kawaguchiko, but you might need to transit at Tokyo if you are taking JR. with JR you can travel from Tokyo to the nearest station to kawaguchiko, which i think is shinjuku. However, even with a JR Pass, you still need to buy another train ticket to Kawaguchiko. When i was in Kawaguchiko, i stayed in Ks house. is the best hostel i ever stayed in Japan. Day 3 By the time you reached kawaguchiko could be late, so you might be only able to leave kawaguchiko in the noon. So you will arrive at Kyoto Late, so less likely you can visit kiyomizu and heian. I think Heian worth less for a visit. (just my thought) Day 4 - Make sure your Day 4 is not a Tuesday, else Nijo castle will be close. (I made that mistake), you should include golden pavilion in Day 4, because Golden Pavilion is in Kyoto. you should also get kyoto day pass (500yen) No comment for rest of your day's itinerary. :)

Hey
I am not sure a JR Pass will be that much cheaper for you unless you use it to go TOkyo - Kyoto and then Osaka - back to Tokyo on its last day. What you could do which is a lot cheaper is to go by train from Tokyo as you are stopping on the way in places.. But on your way back you could take an overnight bus. Saves you money on train fare plus accomodation that night. You can sleep all the way and arrive rested in Tokyo for a day at Disney Land.. :)) In Kyoto definately add Golden Pavillion! It is beautiful. Yasaka Shine is also a most, specially in the evening when it is illumiated. Get a map and follow 'Philosophers Walk'. It takes you past many good temples in Kyoto. Enjoy your trip!! :)
