| San José | Day trip to Britt Plantation and Volcan Poas? Posted: Sun March 30, 2008 09:16 PM UTC
Can these be done as a day trip from San Jose? I mean one day per location not both in the same day? We'll most likely have to take a bus.

Most certainly. You could even do them on the same day. Poas is best seen as early as it opens although I did read that someone had a break in the clouds around noon. You could easily be back to San Jose and on your way to Britt in the afternoon. You could split them up on different days as well.
Another thought would be to stay at the Doka Coffee Estate. They have a B&B there. Don't know how much it is. It is called Siempre Verde B&B.
