I freak out at bugs, all bugs, insects, spiders, everything and I want to study Spanish in Antigua this summer, most of July- how worried should I be? People laugh at my reactions to bugs and I'm really worried about this fear. Advice please before I make plans. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t worry about the bugs, all the crocodiles and poisonous snakes have eaten them. Lol

bugs aren't too bad in antigua. spiders are there but not poisonous.

No matter where you go in the world, you can’t avoid them.
Remember, bugs don’t want to be near you either. Try and relax and enjoy your holiday.

Not trying to be funny but have you considered something like this:
http://www.justbewell.com/fears-phobias-insects-bu We didn't have problems with bugs/insects in Antigua when we were there last year. Then again we stayed in a pretty nice place.
