| Philadelphia | Visit to Longwood Gardens Posted: Sun March 30, 2008 01:46 PM UTC
4 of us will be travelling from Philadelphia to Longwood Gardens, most likely by car, for a period of about 4 days in mid June.
Just wondering: 1) Is the drive an easy one 2) Which B & B would be a nice one to stay at, easily accessible to Longwood Gardens, at a reasonable price (confused by the number of attractive ads off the net) 3) What other attractions would be worth visiting around the vicinity of Longwood Gardens, as well as in Philadelphia Thanks. |

Yes one place of interest comes to mind The Brandywine River Museum. It houses some of the Wyeth family art. It not far from Longwood Gardens in Chadds Ford. It's definitely worth a stop. Have a great time.

It's a pretty easy drive to Longwood--you can just come straight down Rte. 1 from Philly. Are you planning to stay around Longwood for four days, or in Philly for four days? Longwood is an easy day trip from Philly, but there is plenty to do in the Brandywine Valley area also. Check http://www.thebrandywine.com/ for ideas. If you can be more specific about your interests, I can try to suggest some things. (I live about 30 minutes away in Wilmington, DE.)
