Hello,

I am Ketan from India. Am thinking of an honeymoon in Maldives in July '08.

I am quite worried about the weather though. Does it rain a lot during that time?

It would be really very helpful for me if someone would tell me about the weather conditions in Maldives during that time.

Great choice for a honeymoon. I visited the Maldives in July 2004 and yes this is supposed to be smack bang in the middle of the rainy season when the rain can be accompanied by strong winds and choppy seas. This is indeed what greeted us on our arrival and we were glad that the boat trip to the island was only 40 minutes. However, this was the only day we saw rain with the rest of the week being beautiful sunshine and calm seas. Perhaps we were lucky?
