| Greece | Touting the Greek Islands Posted: Sun March 30, 2008 03:28 AM UTC
We are planning a trip to Greece in late September. We 2 couples, would like information on touring Santorini and one other island in 3 days. Can be hydrofoil, air or cruise ship, any ideas?

What sort of information? The more details you offer the better the information will be.
Stick to islands near Santorini if you only have 3 days. Naxos and Paros are closest. P.S.-There are no hydrofoils in that part of the Aegean anymore. The highspeed ferries are catamarans, some are large enough for vehicles, some are passenger-only. http://www.ferries.gr/hfd/

I agree with the Santorini area being your best choice. You can take the ferry from Athens. There are both high speed and regular types available. Santorini will take your breath away. There are lots of great pages on Santorini and most are recent due to the big VT Euro meeting held there last spring.

if you only have three days (and this is so sad, canīt you change that?), itīs best to spend them in Santorini....there are dayly cruises sold by some agencies from santorini to Anafi....an island close to santorini....
if you manage to get more days available, then check out folegandros and/or milos.....both are breathtaking, have very nice beaches (Santorini has amazing views, but the beaches are not the best...) and they are different in many ways from Santorini.... Santorini, Folegandros and Milos were my favorite islands...and they are close to each other! But three days for them is very little time...
