Hi,

I'm going to Brasil next week coming, will stay at Sao Paulo for one night. Anyone can recommend a clean & cheap place to stay where the action is run ,please ? would prefer area that have plently of the pubs and bars. Thank you in advace for sharing.

You may try "West Side Suite", or "Della Volpe Garden". The first Hotel is established at Rua Mateus Grou, 109 (Pinheiros; Phone 3061-0266) and the second is at Rua Frei Caneca, 1199 (Cerqueira Cesar; Phone 285-5388).

Thank you very much. I tried to searh for the name of the place to stay as your recommend but I could not find thier website. also too bad the website you gave me about the bars to check out it's in Portuguase language I guess..which I dont understand it. :-)

yes man, just been there at a hostel called Casa do Poeta, which was very nice, but you could just look at some hostel site like minihostels.com and check, you will find loads there.
