hi travellers----few ?s im off to venice at the end of next week, im staying on lido at Petit Palais hotel.first off i shall take the water boat from marco polo to lido. which ferry line stops at lido first,and when i land at lido, think it might be a bit of a dander to hotel.any1 no this hotel can i get a bus to it. any info will help, and some info about lido itself is it much cheaper on lido for food and wine,oh im in early 40s and i will have mrs in tow.

Hi, first off - from Marco Polo Airport you need to take the Alilaguna service to Lido ( Blu Line or Red Line). When you arrive at Marco Polo Airport and have left customs, turn to your left and walk along the concourse where you will see several desks. Head for the one with the Alilaguna sign where you can purchase your ticket/s. Leave the Terminal building and turn left, following the signs for the Alilaguna - you will walk along a covered path that will take you to the Airport dock.
When you arrive at Lido, you need to get to the main beach and this is serviced by Bus no 11. Just ask the driver to put you off at the Petit Palais.
From that point on, you can use vaporetto no 1 or 51 to visit the main island.
As for cost - Lido is generally no cheaper to eat out than the main island
