Do travellers of Tiger Airways still need to pay departure tax in Tan Son Nhat Airport if they are flying back to Singapore? Please advise. Chyan |

Departure taxes are imposed by the goverment usually to pay for airport services and improvements. The airlines have no control of them. In some airports, the airline just adds the departure tax to your ticket, so you never realize there is a tax. In others, you have to pay directly to the airport.

What makes the difference is whether it is an international or a domestic departure. Singapore being a different country, you have to pay 14 USD.
