there is a regular ferry service; just be sure NOT to go through passport control, the ferry staff get your checked bags from the plane and put them on the boat for you. Enjoy!

You can go by shuttle bus via China from the HK airport but you will need a China visa. Bus ticket can purchased at the airport lobby.

I used to go from Hong Kong, but this time after landing at HKG airport, I would like to go to Macau. One more thing, when I took the ferry from Hong Kong pier, near Jordan rd. I did not need Chinese visa. But if I go direct from HKG airport, do I need Chinese visa ? Or they just let me go and stamp on my passport when arrive.
Thanks.

If you're going direct by the Turbocat Ferry from HK International to Macau Ferry Terminal, then you won't need either a Hong Kong NOR a Chinese visa and will most likely receive an exemption free visa for Macau subject to your mationality. The Turbocat departs 6-7 times per day and as poster number one stated, you must not go through HK immigration. Once you do, then they most likely won't allow you to take the ferry because of security concerns. I just re-did this trip in both directions a week ago. If memory serves, the Turbocat Ferry ticket area is near the transfer E-1 area where the outbound ferry to Macau costs 180HK$ but the return ferry to HK costs 200HK$ (or maybe that was Macau Patacas). Also note that if you're going direct from Macau to HK International Airport, you're likely eligible for a 150HK$ international departure tax refund which you'll receive after you checkin for your flight at the Sky Pier.

Just realized that I gave you the wrong name of the ferry service. It's Turbojet and NOT Turbocat. Sorry about that. Again, there's signage within HK Airport's transfer areas for the ferry service and it eventually brings you to the E-1 transfer point where you go to buy the ferry ticket for Macau. They also sell tickets for direct ferry to Shenzhen as well so make sure you're in the right line. You'll have to produce your passport and your boarding stub that you just got off of because they transfer the luggage that you've checked in all the way to the Macau Ferry Terminal where you'll go to baggage claim area AFTER you've gone thru Macau immigration formalities. It's a small area so you won't miss it. Also, the gate for the Turbojet Ferry in Hong Kong International is Gate 10 and is dedicated for ferry service transfer for shuttle buses to the Sky Pier. You won't be able to board the ferry until Turbojet and airport personnel are sure that your luggage has been transferred to the Sky Pier.
