Hi,

I'm going to Brasil next week coming, will go to Salvador. Anyone can recommend a clean & cheap place to stay where the action is run ,please ? Thank you very much in advance and greeting.

There are basically two neighborhoods with the most tourist infrastructure: Barra, across from the beach and near lots of restaurants, and the Colonial historic center of Pelourinho where some of the music and nightlife is. They are an easy 10-15 minute commute one from the other.
In Pelourinho, the youth hostel Laranjeiras is popular and a lot of people like Nega Maluca, but clearly there are a lot of other choices of "cheap" (although with the dollar falling, that is relative).
Barra has several hostels like Alberge do Porto and also reasonable pousadas like Pousada Azul.

Note that beaches like Itapua, while beautiful, is about 40 minutes from Pelourinho. Piata is maybe midway.
