Hi, did anyone know if the stores & the tours will be close on Cinco de Mayo?? what will be the best thing to do on that day?? Thanks in advance.

stores and offices in Mexico are not closed, it is not a big holiday here. It became a big holiday in USA because General Zaragoza who was important in that battle was from a town that is now part of USA, and its like a celebration of Mexicans in the USA.

Well, the above explanation sounds to be the most off the wall one I've ever heard. I doubt the story, though. The day is a holiday in parts of Mexico, and there are celebrations and parades - but not in Cancun as far as I know. You should be able to do whatever you want to, without interruption.
