How much does a taxi trip for 3 people cost to go from Santiago International
Airport to Santiago, Providencia Barrio?

If you take a taxi it is a fixed fare and the number of people does not matter. You just have to be able to fit in the taxi with your luggage. Another option is one of the minivans , Transvip or Turtransfer, however for 3 it will probably cost the same in total as the taxi. I think it is 30 US dollars for the taxi. The prices are fixed but it depends a bit where you are going. Tickets for the taxis can be bought just before you exit the customs area and the driver waits for you outside. Do not exit customs and just take any taxi.

You can also e-mail your hotel and request a car. For me it was $35, which is about $5 more than it would have cost for a cab. However I didn't have wait in line and best of all I just put it on hotel bill.

As soon as I cleared customs, there was my driver with my name on a little sign. He grabbed my bags and we were off.

I just took a taxi this morning from the airport to central Santiago. I was alone, the fare was USD 27

I'd recommend you to buy the taki tickets a few steps passing customs. I always take "taxioficial", it costs about 13.000 CLP to Providencia (U$28). They also gives you 20% off on your return taxi to the airport.
