| Grand Cayman | Weather in October Posted: Wed March 26, 2008 08:29 PM UTC
My wife and I are planning a trip at the end of October. What can we expect for weather that time of year (assuming we dodge the occasional hurricane)?
Thanks. |

Trying to predict the weather can be difficult because of local on the day variations.
This information should be used as a guide only. Here is the average weather for Grand Cayman for this time of year. Enjoy your holiday. October High 85f/29c Low 77f/25c

Believe it or not, the Cayman Islands experience more hurricanes than any other Caribbean islands. That said, most of the time it's not catastrophic. They took a direct hit from Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and evidence of the recovery can still be seen, especially along the east and south parts of Grand Cayman.
The weather otherwise is like clockwork: temps in the mid-80's daily, intense sun from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, sometimes elevated humidity. Rainfall tends to be brief. Your best bet is to consult the major on-line weather sites a day or two before you leave, collect two or three forecasts to get the consensus, then plan and pack accordingly.
