| Damascus | Arabesk vs. Damascus Hostel? Posted: Wed March 26, 2008 06:00 PM UTC
I am choosing between an accommodation/guide company, and I don't know which one to choose. Two companies I have heard of are Arabesk and Damascus Hostel. If anyone has had personal experience with either (good or bad), please share. Also, if you could, include the prices that were offered to you and how long you stayed in Damascus. Thanks!

I have replied to another post about this. I did stay at Damascus Hostel last year. It was clean, secure, nice staff who spoke English and Arabic. Exactly in the Old City and next to lots of historic sites and cafes, restaurants, St Paul's. I enjoyed it and the price was very reasonable. I would be happy to stay there again.

Hi, I am not familiar with Arabesk but I can recommend Damascus Hostel, it is situated in Old Damascus, close to many tourist attractions, service is excellent and rooms are great for value. Unfrotunately I do not have prices. The ydo have a website on the net.
Have a great time in Damascus!
