| Cesky Krumlov | 3 nights - too much? Posted: Wed March 26, 2008 02:29 PM UTC
Hi,
I will be travelling to Cesky Krumlov in May. I have 3 nights of accommodation booked. Is that too much? What is there to do in CK? I'm actually only spending two nights in Vienna right before and I'm considering switching it around. Spending 3 nights in Vienna and 2 in CK. If you have an opinion, let me know. Thanks a lot! |

Hi. Cesky Krumlov is a lovely place but I think that 3 nights would be more than needed to visit the castle, museum and walk around the town and along by the river; after that there's little else to do. Having visited both places I think you'd find more to enjoy in Vienna.

Lots to see in Vienna and surrounding areas. Three nights would be better.

however cesky krumlov is really beautiful, i must admit that it would probably be better to spend 3 nights in vienna. it is bigger and there is more to see.

Thanks so much, you've helped a lot.
I've been to Vienna before so what I might do is stop in Salzburg for one night in between and reduce my stay in Cesky Krumlov to 2 nights. :)

3 nights is definately too much. Krumlov is fascinating, but small and compact. Even one night would be enough for live roma (gypsy) music and dancing. Too many fascinating places to visit in Chechia and Austria for filling your time.
