4 smokers want to go sharm for a holiday in oct 2008
have been browsing holiday websites for hotels flights etc and it would appear that a lot of hotels have a non smoking policy is this the case for all hotels??

You will be fine.Smoking is like a national passtime in Egypt.The taxi drivers will even light up with out asking the passengers if it is OK.

That might be news for me.... How comes Dear? It is only forbidden in closed area and local transportation means, unless at non restricted areas. Enjoy your smoking; nevertheless please take into consideration that it is(not just may be nor might be) very harmful to your health. Why dont you try a smoking free vacation??

you will have no prob, the egyptians do love to smoke, although they don't smoke rollies you can buy it out there now. when i went to cairo only hashish smokers smoke rollies so i had quite a few looks and comments, but sharm is more touristy, you might want to take rizlas tho.

unless it's a fasting day in Ramadan,,u will have NO PROBLEM in smoking :-)

PS.the only place that i know in Egypt that forbidds smoking is McDonalds.
