| Honolulu | Hawaiian Hilton Village - which tower is preferred? Posted: Wed March 26, 2008 06:43 AM UTC
I did a check on their reservation website and compare the prices with the different towers for the same type of room and it seems Alii is the most expensive followed by Rainbow. I can understand this because they are nearer the beach but why are Tapa, Kalia and Diamond priced about the same when Diamond Head Tower is much closer to the beach like Rainbow and Alii are? Which tower is currently most preferred for whatever reasons?

I can't help you compare the towers but we stayed in the Rainbow Tower. It was a wonderfully, comfortable room! But...we were facing west and there was lots and lots of construction going on down below. Really noisy. So, check to see if and where any constuction might be going on during your stay and choose the tower away from it. (that was back in July 2007)

Hi
All the Towers are at great locations...The area really isn't that large .. I think Tapa Tower is very convenient.... because below it is the Duty Free Shops...and the other shops..also the Tapa Bar is right next to the area of it's elevators and it is also closer to getting to the main street ..Plus you can see the Waikiki area ..mostly the Park next door..BUT still it is really easy to get to the Beach..

Oh, because I want a room with ocean view so was thinking Kalia and Tapa seem too far away from the beach plus they could be blocked by the likes of Rainbow and Alii?

I'm sorry, but I laughed out loud when you twice spoke about how far a given tower was from the beach. My 76 year-old mother and I stayed in a lovely hotel about 4 blocks from the beach and it wasn't too far! The fact that all hotels in that complex are relatively close to the beach makes it a moot point IMHO.
P.S. I trust you know that that beach is not the primary one in Waikiki?
