Can anyone please tell me what the tour might be like that is offered to passengers of Cruises companies. My concern is the great many steps and an inabilty to climb due to Osteoarthritis. Is it possible to view the national park without the steps?

Hello
I'm not 100% sure but i dont think there is another way to view the park with the steps.. if not you can still enjoy ulu temburong at the waterfall area and in the village. Is very interesting and fun:)

i presume you mean the canopy walk which gives a tree-tops view of borneo from a hilltop plus treetops!
the canopy walk is the climax of a visit to the national park, which in itself is reached by long boat. i have met elderly couples made the canopy walk, which includes a climb up a 500m hilltop along a wooden walkway, then up vertical ladders for about 150ft to reach tree tops. alternatively, one can visit the belalong field studies centre and enjoy being with nature. suggest wear cotton clothes due high humidity which can reach 95-100%!
