Is possible to buy the train ticket from Beijing to Ulabatar online with the official website? Also how much is the return ticket for such?

1) No, it's not possible. There is no official web site.
2) For price look at my MPT calculator in Russian tips and my home page. You can even calculate more things. 3) As far as I know the r/t ticket is the double. But there is no such thing as ticket to begin with, there is the pink sheet and the green sheet. You probably are curious bout the total, see it on my home page again. BTW: there are three classes: 1/2, 1/4 and 2/4, so you have to chose. The MT3 train does have only 1/2 and 2/4, the KZD train also 1/4. The price between MT3 and KZD could be different if they have different multipliers. I did not calculate all the multipliers yet and besides, they could change (increase) by end of May.

Sabine, I am somewhat surprised - do you have full MPT books in your hand?
Can you please tell me the multipliers for MT3, KZD and most interestingly - DSVN? How about LDZ, EVR and LG? (multiplier is called "koefficint indeksacii" in their lingo)? That is the most important thing because once we know all "koefficint indeksacii", any MPT ticket is very easy to calculate, here is the on-line table: http://www.gdo.kiev.ua/files/db.php?god=2004&st=2109

Here is a bit more detailed description:
http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/b883d/38a/9/ (see the "The only official Transsib MPT price calculator"). We have missing multipliers. Once the multipliers are done, everything is fine.

Z.B. Nauschki-Preßburg ist 172 Euro, Nauschki-Belgrad (oder Subotica) 186 Euro.
