I am hoping someone can help me out. I am organising my friends hen party and wanted to know an Upmarket club that we can go to. Celeb hangout etc. I heard Libertos is good. We are looking to go to a slightly high-end nightclub. I know Kiss and Kadoc are good clubs if you want a crazy drunken one, but we want a more classy affair on our final night any suggestions. We also are looking for a classy restaurant. Suggestions much appreciated,

Well... FROM A PORTUGUESE OPINION Albufeira isn't very classy so you would have to get out of town to find some different clubs.

1st rule: Always doubt places that you can get in free of charge!!!

If you want to stick to Albufeira Liberto's a good choice but you can't consider it a Disco cause it closes very early.

You can go to "Capítulo V" (chapter 5 in english). It's a very nice disco but starts a bit late (don't bother geting in before 2:30am). It's on the left side of the road that goes down to praia da Oura.
This was a great disco a few eyars ago but i think it's geting a bit empty nowdays. This is because most of Albufeira's tourists are foreign (and prefer the Kiss disco style) and portuguese don't go there as much as before. So if you go with some friends let just one get in and see how it looks rather then going in all at the same time. They usualy have very good Dj guests playing so look for advertising... if there's a good Dj you'll shurely enjoy a good night there.

Very close to Albufeira is "LeClub" at Santa Eulália beach but i don't like it very much cause it's too calm and age average is about mid thirties. The good news is that you can also have dinner there. They have a very nice restaurant (www.leclubsantaeulalia.com)

But if you want a word of advice rent minivan with GPS for 1 day and get out of Albufeira. This way you don't have to concern about bus schedules or taxis. About drinking and driving... well... take a chance if you can at least walk a staigh line hehehe. As portuguese i can tell you: I bet the guy that will be driving in front of you is only a bit more dunk than the one behind you. HEHEHE... but yes... We do have trafic police an sometime they apear. Alcohol limit is 0.5 grams/Liter. Agood thing to do is to stay until late... police won´t bother you after 7am. Just put your shades and you'll look like a hard working guy that just woke up :)

So get out and go for these Clubs:

Sasha Summer Sessions in "Portimão" - About 20Km from Albufeira (www.sashasummersessions.com)

If i had to pick one... well most defenetly Sasha but beware cause it's only open from mid July to end of August. I belive you can also have dinner there but make a reservation first. Call them on: 282412666 or 961731277 i belive they will speak english (almost everyone speaks it in Portugal). REMEMBER PORTUGUESE HAVE DINER VERY LATE. ASK UNTIL WHAT TIME THEY SERVE DINERS (MAYBE 10:30PM) AND MAKE A RESERVETION FOR THAT TIME. By the Time you finish your dinner the disco will be almost starting ;)

Mind one thing: get in as early as you can (00 to 2 am never after that), so having dinner ther will be a good choice. Get in even if it's empty and you have to wait about an hour unltil the dance floors start pumping up. I can tell you it'll get CROWDED and geting in will be very dificult then (and the queues to get in... oh my god). I belive they have a limit of 3000 people.

There's no dress code but it'll be beter not to go on shorts and sandals. You don't have to look like a big company manager but also don't look like a rapper with lots of chains and training clothes. It'll be better to leave your gold tooth home :)

Remember all disco is on open air and you'll be walking on sand 50% of time. You'll hear good House music and closing time may vary from 6am to 8am.
Be there in August and i belive you'l find one of the best summer discos you've ever been.

If you want another opinion free of charge, take a a short break to Lisbon in May, June or September (it's empty in August and July). It's a very beautifull city with lovely beaches and lots of things to do and visit and a GREAT GREAT GREAT NIGHT LIFE for all kind of tastes. We Portuguese use to say that Algarve is a small country in the south of Portugal... You'll never know the real portugal there.

If you come by the end of May next year you can always combine Algarve with a big Eurovtmeeting (follow the link from top of my webpage)
Moreover, there are some nice nightclubs / discos in Cascais and Lisbon area.
