| San Ignacio | Cae Tubing Posted: Tue September 30, 2003 03:53 PM UTC
Has anyone been cave tubing in the San Ignacio area? I will be there in Dec. I have seen that Cave's Branch offers it, but it seems a bit far from San Ignacio. Any suggestions?

Haven't tubed through the caves... but but if you're in San Igancio, Mark at Clarissa Falls Resort can hook you up for tubing down the Mopan river from the ruins of Xunatinich for next to nothing $$$.
Spend the day at the ruins and, after spending time in the sweltering heat, tube your way from the ruins back down to the resort. See this link for more information: http://www.virtualtourist.com/m/4021d/9c3/4/

Eva's offers a cave tubing trip at Barton Creek for $50 BD ($25 USD). They had 2 trips a day when I was there in May. They'll take you there in the back of their pickup, which is sheltered, with padded benches. The drive is 45 minutes, but well worth it! Eva's is on Burns Ave, right in the middle of San Ignacio. Have a great time!
