Antigua Guatemala Antigua/Panajachel in early May
Posted: Mon March 24, 2008 12:15 PM UTC
I'm taking a trip to Antigua and for Lake Atitlan/Panajachel Guatemala May 6-10 and I have several questions.

1. what would the weather be like?
2. any events, festivals, natural phenomenon or anything else during this time? 3. any advice on MUST to do things?

many thanks in advance.

the answer to what you must do depends on your interests.
church ruins? hiking? swimming? other active sport? dancing?

most people go to Pacaya volcano. that is pretty cool.
check a catholic calendar for religious events that you may be able to see.

friday is the Solola market. that's fun.

If you stop in Antigua you could book a trip at an agency to Pacaya Volcano. That would be worth your while especially when you can get close up to the active lava flows.
