| Málaga | Anyone stayed at the boutique hotel Palacio Blanco - of Channel 5 TV fame Posted: Mon March 24, 2008 11:56 AM UTC
Has anyone stayed at this boutique hotel? It looks brilliant and I understand has just opened for the 2008 season. I am thinking of going there but wanted to get some feedback on the local tourist activities etc. before I book. I found their website www.palacioblanco.com which is excellent but need the local info before I make any decisions.

hi there,
No haven't stayed there personally but it has been getting rave reviews. If you go to tripadvisor.com there are about 30 reviews or so. Can't wait to stay there myself ! Ellie

Havent stayed there but we went to visit them and have a look over the place! Its stunningly beautiful altho in a residential area of Velez-Malaga, but if you just concentrate on getting to the hotel, you wont be disappointed once you walk through the door. You could actually be in another world once you do! The renovation is amazing, the rooms are spacious and luxurious and the owners are the nicest couple Ive met in a long time. They couldnt do enough for us and gave us a guided tour. The roof terrace and pool is beautiful with stunning views over the rooftops of the town.
Velez-Malaga is a big town with a tram system that runs to the coastal resort of Torre del Mar, a lovely beach resort with lots of nice restaurants and cafes. Velez itself is worth a wander around even if to just get the feel of a real Spanish town not a tourist resort. Im sure you will love it. I personally would have a hire car for the duration and get out to see as much as possible of this beautiful country.
