You can go by minibus it will cost about 300 baht depending on the agencies or by taxi/private card with driver which is more than 1500 baht.

No flights from Bangkok to Pattaya.
Intercity buses leave every 30 minutes from two bus terminals; Ekkamai, next to Ekkamai skytrain station, and from Morchit Bus Station in Kamphengphet Road.

Cannot fly. - Do you mean from Bkk or Suvarnabhumi airport?
If so the simplest way is by taxi - about 1300 baht.1.5 hours+ there is a good bus service too. from Bkk there is a slow train once a dat - about 3 hours.

Just to give you the correct name for the Bangkok airports. Don mUeang is the old airport and used to be called BKK but is now called DMK and caters for internal flights. Suvarnabhumi is the new International and Domestic airport and is known as BKK. There is no train service from BKK, but there is from DMK.
Best way from BKK to Pattaya is by taxi as the airport lies between Bangkok and Pattaya. Regards John John

If you go from Airport you can take taxi or bus, other choice if you stay in Bangkok you can take BTS to Victory Monument and then go to take van to Pattaya it's very easy.
In pattaya you can enjoy in many show such as Alangkarn Show, Alcazar Show, Elephant Village, etc. hope you enjoy in pattaya :)

Look at my Pattaya page for information on hotels I have found and like.
Remember Pattaya started as a fishing village. The US government made it an R&R center during the American war in Vietnam. They brought in the girls and opened the hotels. Now it is a sex tourist destination more than anything else. They are trying to change the image and bring in more families, and to some extent it is working, but it is hard to remove the thousands of bars and ten thousand girls who make a living there. There are some nice places to stay there. If you want quiet, stay at the East Sea Resort. It is in North Pattaya (Nakula)in a quiet area. If you want noise and nightlife stay in South or Central Pattaya. Car rentals are relatively cheap in Pattaya. You can rent a car and explore the coast down to the Cambodian border. This includes the islands (Kao)Samet and Chang. There is also a great resort in Rayong, one hour south of Pattaya. The name escapes me now, but a simple surch will turn it up. I don't recommend the motorcycles, unless you have a death wish.

I just put a report on my Bangkok page about a private limo service from the airport, Bangkok and Pattaya. His limo is reasonable and safe.
