I wish to get a car with a driver(eg-a taxi or similar) to take my wife & me from the airport at Tirane to the Montenegran border. Also would you have any idea of the cost.

Thank You Z-Man, which border are you talking about, The one north of Shkoder or the one on the road to Ulcinj, I also am making this trip and need a car and driver to take me to the border with Montenegro on the Ulcinj Road. Any idea what this would cost in Euros??? Is the road not so good between Tirana and this border?? Cheers and thanks --------Mario

Thanks for the reply, I have freinds driving down from Dubrovnik who will meet me on the border and drive me to Ulcinj. where we intend to spend the nite(any Suggestions). can you give me an indication what it would cost for a car and driver to take us to this border???? And where will I find this car and driver??
By the way we intend (these Freinds and I) to keep in contact by cellphone TXT. Is this possible in Albania, I do understand that you have a mobile phone System in Albania but is there one in Montenegro??? Thanks again----Mario

I am from NZ in the south pacific. Long way from Europe. This is a big trip for us. The only way I could get from Athens to Croatia without going back to Italy was on a flight to Tirana. I now need to get from tirana to Montenegro. Can you give some idea what this will cost in a Taxi or car.???????? My friends can cross the border but I thought that getting as far as Montenegro was good enough.Cheers Mario

Hello, I think you can hire an taxi from the airport. I think it might be around 70-80 euros. When you're going in Albania? If you want to be sure. I can try to find an taxi and ask how much it will coast the trip. Until were exactly?

Thank you for your kind offer. I will need to get to the border at Muriqan on the road to Ulcinj. It is only a few few minutes from Shkoder I understand. I come to Tirana in August(16th) at about 1 pm. Once again thank you for the Information. Mario
