| Beijing | Extending Multiple Entry Visa days allowed Posted: Sat March 22, 2008 04:34 AM UTC
I'm here with a 1 year multiple entry visa, which allows me to stay here up to 90 days, but I want to stay longer than the 90 days and I don't want to have to leave China to get an additional 90 days. I would like to leave on or about 8/1/08. Is there anyone that has encountered this situation? Were you able to have days extended without leaving China? Please advise..

all the rules have changed for 2008 due to Olympics (and now Tibet); I suggest you find your way to Hong Kong or Korea for the weekend or you might get your visa cancelled altogether.

I agree with above poster. Can you go to HK for the weekend?
Contact your consulate's office. They should be the ones to give you the best up to date information.

Even without any recent visa rule changes:
Visa extensions are a new visa and cancel your current visa. So if you have a multiple entry visa, the additional entries will no longer be valid when you get an extension. I extended a double visa and lost the second entry. Take a run to HK like the others suggested. http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/9e4cc/5a0/1/
