Hi
It looks like you won't need a Visa but a passport and return ticket back to Canada... Here is the link ... : )http://www.iexplore.com/dmap/Israel/Visa+and+Health

I know a friend from Australia last year went to Nablus in Palestine occupied territory and obtained a visa from Israel for 3 months to get married..i assume same thing apply to you to Ramallah
.Thoug he crossed from Jordan at Allenby Bridge. You can go direct to Israel and Ramallah. It can be done.
All the best from damascushostel.

Canadian passport holders do not need a visa to enter Israel. You must go through Israel passport control and immigration no matter how you approach Ramallah (e.g., via the King Hussein/Allenby Bridge from Jordan or from Ben Gurion airport near Tel Aviv). You don't need any additional authorization or documentation to continue to Ramallah after going through Israel passport control.

If you want to go to Palestine, first you have to be eligible to enter into Israel. After arriving in Israel, you will go the the nearest Palestinian check point in Jerusalem and there you will find a kind of border between Israel and Palestine (West Bank). Usually they check you passport and let you in for short term. However, for longer visits, It may be a bit of problemmatic, so in any case please do check before you go with the related Palestinian government agencies. Good luck :)
