| Estado de Zacatecas | Sombrerete and Guadalupe Posted: Wed March 19, 2008 06:50 PM UTC
Does anyone have hotel recommendations for either of these cities? I can't find any reviews for Sombrerete hotels.
My husband and I stayed at Meson la Noria in Guadalupe last year. It was ok, just not great. We loved Guadalupe (and Zacatecas), however! Also, I'd appreciate any recommendations about restaurants and things to do in Sombrerete. Thanks! Cindi |

Thanks for your help. I found lots of hotels in both places, but really would like some recommendations if anyone has stayed (or lives) in either town. Otherwise, we'll do what we've done before...choose a place from a list on the internet and take our chances (though we do always ask the cab driver for suggestions once we arrive in the city).
Thanks! Cindi

in Sombrerete this is the municipal tourism page with hotels - its a little place so I would do the cab driver thing - get a tour of these hotels.. For Guadalupe I´d just stay in Zacatecas, its just a short bus or taxi ride. The Meson de Jobito is really nice in an old vecindad, the Emporio is great too, and the Santa Rita is directly across the street from the Cathedral. If you want to spend more the Quinta Real is very cool in the old bull ring by the aqueduct.

Thank you for the information, zapfilms! I appreciate it.
Do you happen to know anything about the hotels in Sombrerete? Hotel Avenida Real looks like it is in our price range. We have stayed in Zacatecas several times. The hotels you mention are lovely, but a bit out of our price range. We normally stay at Posada de los Condes (not a fancy hotel, but clean enough and close to the sights). However, we would like to stay in Guadalupe and walk around instead of having to bus or taxi back and forth. Thanks again for your suggestions! Cindi
