| El Salvador | Know a beach resort Posted: Wed March 19, 2008 05:23 PM UTC
I am looking for a beach resort in El Salvador for me and my family of 6, parents and adult kids. It would be great to find a swimmable beach with a resort that has separate and nice bungalows, restaurant, pool.
Anyone know of such a place? Thanks. Sam |

The only one I am aware of (and I am NOT the expert on ES at all) is the Decameron Salinitas, a fairly new resort that has been promoted as a cheap all-inclusive option to people in North America. I have one friend that has been once and another that has been twice and both really enjoyed it. No separate bungalows but they are brand new, nice hotel rooms. There is a beach (not the best IMO), a regular outdoor pool and a saltwater pool and several restaurants- friends say the food was pretty good. There were also a lot of day trip options including surf lessons, hiking a volcano, and visiting the Mayan ruins in Copan, Honduras. Not a particularly inexpensive way to see the country compared to more local places but the only recommendation I can give you.

Salinitas is a good option, but also the las Hojas beach resort fit the description of what youre looking for, althought theyre a bit pricier than
Salinitas. www.lashojasresort.com www.decameron.com/Eng/salvador/salenitas/overview.html
