Aswan Travel Forum

Are taxies easily available early morning from cruise dock at Aswan to the airport OR is it necessary to book one in advance. Can we keep our luggage at Aswan or Abu Simble airport. Our flight leaves at 9:00 AM and returns at 1:00 PM. Shall be grateful for any info. Thanks in advance.

Yes it is available. But you can also advise a taxi driver in advance, not bad and no extra payment is even required.

You may better save time and keep your luggage at the same taxi, as long as it will accompany you for the whole trip. As you are aware, you are using the domestic terminlal, and then the intrenationl (I dont know what is your itinerary in fact) Nevertheless, you can keep them safely at the hotel upon checking out before the road trip, if you have time. OR you can even contact the Airport by phone from the hotel in this conern and request their best advice according to your itinerary. Be sure they will help.

There is also a public very cheap bus, but takes longer time.

Thanks Sayed for your reply. We are taking the cruise from Luxor to Aswan, take flight to Abu Simble same day and take flight to Cairo the next day. Can you advise what it will cost to hire a taxi for whole day who will drop and pick us up for the Abu Simble flight and in the afternoon also take us to Kalabsha and Philae for the light & sound show.
