| Dublin | accomodation Posted: Mon March 17, 2008 07:36 PM UTC
Hello everybody!
I'm looking for a double room, decent but cheap. It can be also outside dublin if the city centre is reachable by public transportation from there. Does anybody can help me? Thanks, Sergio |

Hi Sergio
Cheap decent rooms in Dublin are quite hard to come by. There are a number of cheap Bed and Breakfasts around Talbot Street,Lower Gardiner Street and Store Street. The North Star Hotel in nearby Amiens Street is more upmarket and has deals sometimes like 2 Nights Bed & Full Irish Breakfast and 1 Table d'hote Dinner From 99 Euro per person sharing Available Midweek Sunday to Thursday. My own preference would be to stay somewhere like Howth which can be easily accessed from the centre by DART (Dublin Metro) and bus. See http://www.dublintourist.com/directory/accommodati

Try www.hostelworld.com. Many hostels offer double rooms. My parents stayed in a double room at Ashfield House which is a fantastic location (just across the road from Temple Bar and bus to/from airport).

Hello Sergio,
I would recommend Isaacs Hostel. It is a very modern hostel with it's own Cafe/Snack Bar - decent coffee even for an Italian! :) - internet access, courtyard with tables where you can smoke etc. they also have double rooms without a bathroom however. I believe the price for 2 people is about €60 this hostel is just right opposite the Central Bus station 'Busaras'. Have a look at:http://www.isaacs.ie/ as you will see on their website, they also have a Hotel, which is just right around the corner of the hostel. They even have an Italian restaurant which is quite authentic. I tried the Lasagne and it was homemade and very good. You can get a special rate for the hotel on-line for € 79.90 not including breakfast. It is a pretty good offer for 3star hotel! wishing you a great time in Dublin! Lee

The Hilton in Charlemont is about a 3 minute walk from the Luas Charlemont stop which goes into St. Stephens Green. The LUAS website is www.luas.ie
(just incase you dont know, the Luas is a Tram)
