April Rainy season

Hi
Am I crazy to consider going on a week holiday to zanzibar in mid April? I want to be able to snorkel safely too...i don't mind a bit of rain, but don't want to have to sit in my room the whole time. Is there a better part of the island to be on during this season?

Hi. I was in Zanzibar during the rainy season and it was beautifull. Sure, it did chuck it down from time to time but rarely for long and there were periods of cloud, but rarely did it last long. I still managed to foolishly get sunburnt. There will be fewer tourists but still enough so you arent on your own. Enjoy.
