| Milan | Arriving in Milan on Sunday 23rd March 2008 - Shopping Posted: Mon March 17, 2008 02:53 PM UTC
I will be arriving on Sunday in Milan for a four day City break, my wife wants to know will there be any shops open on Easter Sunday or the Monday the 24th March. If not, what other activities may be available over those two days like museums, cathedrals, shows or entertainment on?
Many thanks to who ever can help me. Richard |

Yes, and keep in mind the monday is holyday here... The traditional day for the first trips out of town.... And, I can add, weather forecasts are not so great for next weekend. But at least churches will be open. For museums... please search the web sites of the ones you may be interested in, and check what they will do.
Ciao Francesco

Friends, if you talking about holidays in Italy, forget it if you plan to see anything .. I was stuck in my hotel during a Christmas and new year because everything is closed, and be aware of their train schedule (Metro). It's can be changed.
please feel free to visit my page about Milan.

You'll hve to postpone your shopping to Tuesday, because shops will be closed on Sunday and on Monday.
About museums, most of them are closed on Mondays. This is the case for Brera, for instance. To learn more about this museum see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinacoteca_di_Breraee
