Salvador da Bahia Golfing in Porto Seguro
Posted: Sat March 15, 2008 02:31 PM UTC
Hey, I'm heading to Porto Seguro next week and I am hoping to play golf at Terravista Golf Course. Are there any golfers out there that I could hook up with? I'll be in PS from Mar. 27th til April 3rd. Looking at the website, the course looks awesome. Has anyone else played there? Thanks in advance, Dave

I'm not a golf player but I'm brazilian. The best of Porto Seguro is:
* Porto Seguro Praia--> The best Hotel; or, Monte Pascoal Praia (Hotel) layied down on Taperapuã. Diving points: Recifes de Fora, or, Mundaí (Better you ask help for some tourism agency-->Canoa Quebrada ; Hills Tour; Curuipe)
* Parks (Nice sight seeings)--> Vela Branca (Airport road); or; Pousada Nascente.
* Nice beachs--> Ponta Grande, Rio dos Mangues, Taperapuã (good fishing), Curuipe
I cannot stay at Porto Seguro. I'm retired of business because I'm not in good health (lungs). So, I spend my time sending some e-mails...

Hey Stef, Just got back to the States. Porto Seguro is awesome! Terravista was a beautiful golf course. A bit of an adventure to get to, but worth it. It cost about 300 Real for 18 holes, a cart, and another 30 Real for a caddie(required, gladly). Because there were a large group of Argentinians at the course, I started on the back 9. I don't suggest this, for I feel the course was designed to build up to the beauty of the back 9. The front was lovely, but not nearly as nice. The wind was pretty constant as to be expected on an oceanside course. The service from all was excellent and depending on cost, I could play there as my home course. Oh yeah! The head pro said they only average 12 - 20 players per day. Wow! Give it a try Stef and enjoy the lovely Bahian Coastline and people! Dave in CT
