Re: travel from Bar Harbor USA to Sackville New Brunswick Posted: Wed March 19, 2008 01:21 AM UTC
The Bar Harbour ferry is not really practical for someong wanting to go to New Brunswick. You arrive here in Yarmouth, drive one hour to Digby, take another ferry across the Bay of Fundy and then you're still only in St. John, New Brunswick. Both ferries you need to be there one hour before departure, and both are three-hour crossings. That's 8 hours, and the drive isn't much more than that. We've gone down to Bangor from Yarmouth several times, (not quite Bar Harbour, but close) and we do it in a day, and that's with the Digby-St. John Ferry. The drive from Yarmouth, to Truro, and across into New Brunswick is nice if it's part of your holiday, but you don't want it as an add on
